Breast enhancement is one easy way to obtain immediate gratification to improve your self-confidence and image. Breast augmentation recovery involves the importance of resting, taking medication, not lifting weights or exercising, use of compression garment, and then a good bra. However, many people may not understand the importance of finding a bra that fits properly and gives you the correct amount of support.
Advantages to the Right Post Breast Surgery Bra
The right after breast augmentation bra does not only reduces swelling, but positions the breasts correctly on the chest, shortens recovery time, improves blood circulation, and helps to flush potentially harming body fluid to help maintain beautiful breasts. Alternatively, if you are not wearing suitable garment, you may end up with a backache, thinning skin on your breasts, and or sagging breast, and no women wants that!
Breast Augmentation Recovery Garments
Your bra size and type will vary throughout the healing process. In the beginning of recovery, you want to ensure you have the best support possible with the littlest amount of pain. Your plastic surgeon will advise compression garment. Compression garments assist in minimizing the throbbing sensation, discomfort, and pain. After your first week or so of breast augmentation surgery, another type of support garment may be suggested by your and the final suggestion might be a sports bra. Sport bras firmly hold the breasts in place providing comfort, with a little less support then a compression garment, but still just enough. Soon enough you will be ready for a no under wire bra with less reinforcement.
Bra Selection for Breast Augmentation Patients
Selecting the right bra is not always the easiest thing to do after a . However, it is possible. There are many factors that can help you in finding the bra that best fits your new breast augmentation look. When deciding on the right bra, you want to keep in mind not only the band and cup size determine if it is appropriate for you, but also the location of your breasts as they sit in the cup and how they are positioned. Additionally, bras with under wire are not to be worn any sooner then six weeks after your procedure and then on are only to be worn on occasion.
Steps to Finding a Breast Augmentation Bra
First, you want to calculate your band size. Your band size should not have changed following breast augmentation unless your swelling has not fully subsided and or you have gained weight during your recovery. The band size, also known as the back size or frame size, is measured in inches in the United States and centimeters in other countries. In to determine an approximate band size you will need to measure your ribcage, which is located underneath your breasts. Make sure the measuring tap is horizontally and tightly wrapped around your ribcage. Next, you will take this number of inches and add a 4 if it is even and if the number of inches is odd add a 5 (i.e. Mary’s number of inches around her ribcage measured 32. She will add 4 inches, which will put her at a 36 band size). You should always fasten your bra in the last setting because with wear the bra band will stretch and when it does you will be able to fasten the band on a setting further in, which will provide the same comfort and support.
On to the next step; establish a cup size for your . To do this, you will take a tailor measuring tape and position it in the center of the nipple, the fullest part of the breast. Then, horizontally extend the measuring tap around your chest to your back. Finally, you will subtract your cup size inches from your calculated band size inches. Once you have that number look to the chart below to determine which cup size you are (i.e. Mary’s band size is 36 and her cup size is 40, this means Mary is a C Cup).

Now that you have estimated your bra size based off the above formulas you are ready to start exploring. Keep in mind, if you are shortening the length of the bra straps or the bra band is not level with the front band, the bra doesn’t fit properly. In addition, if your breasts appear excessively busty or if your nipples are showing you may need a bigger cup size or a different style cup.
Cosmetic Surgeons always recommend to their patients who have had a breast augmentation to wear a bra throughout the day and while sleeping. This will give you and maintain the best results for stunning breasts.

Breast augmentation recovery approaches have advanced just as much as the procedure has over the past decade. It used to be that breast augmentation recovery was taxing, with outdated patient comforts and a limited range of aids to improve outcomes through healthy recoveries. Today, breast augmentation patients can choose from respite services that provide a nurse for the first few days following breast augmentation. Even, traveling patients to Dr. Blauâ??s office can feel more at home at hotels that Dr. Blau refers them to through more improved recovery aids than offered in years past. Indeed, breast augmentation recovery today can provide better aids to reduce side effects associated with breast augmentation and before you know it the side effects will be long gone, including:
Â
Breast Augmentation Garments: Following breast augmentation, the breasts may feel hardened, malformed, and rest very high on the chest wall. For this reason, breast augmentation garments are used to create the most natural feel, shape and location of the breasts on the chest. In addition, breast augmentation garments reduce swelling that is associated with breast augmentation recovery. The traditional type of breast compression garment that has been used is a reinforced garment that is required to be worn 24 hours a day for two or more weekâ??s time. Today, breast augmentation patients can choose from breast augmentation vests, bandeaus, wraps, foam garments, and bras to have the most comfortable recovery period throughout every stage in the recovery of the breast augmentation. Â
Â
Breast Augmentation Anti-Nausea Medication: Â Nausea may occur following breast augmentation surgery and throughout the recovery period. Today, plastic surgeons take precautions to reduce the risk of nausea after breast augmentation. They may advise or use medication prior to the procedure and recommend the use of prescription medications such as Benedryl, Zofran, Decadron or Phenegran following breast augmentation.
Â
Breast Augmentation Mouistrizers: After breast augmentation surgery, breasts may appear to be discolored, reddened, shiny or produce stinging sensations. This is because stretch the skin and until the breasts get used to the stretch over the first 10 days or so, some of the described symptoms may occur. Now, breast augmentation patients can find relief in select moisturizers that can reduce the side effects during the recovery period. Â
Â
Breast Nipple Anti-Sensitivity Aids: In some cases, the nipples remain erect and/or are sensitive during the recovery period. Todayâ??s nursing pads and round band aids offer a means to protect the nipples from temporary sensitivity.   Â
Breast Augmentation Healing Aids:Â Though all medications, vitamins and natural healing remedies used prior to surgery and during recovery must be approved by the that is performing the procedure, there are a few natural healing remedies that have passed the test of time to leverage a better overall recovery period. Arnica Montana can improve swelling. Bromelain can reduce swelling and decrease pain. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that speeds up the recovery period. Vitamin A thwarts off infection. Selinium may be used with other compounds to reduce the recovery time period. However, the use of any of the described healing aids should be discussed with Dr. Blau at least two weeks prior to the procedure.
Breast Augmentation Scar Aids: The development of scars depends upon a variety of factors, including heredity and protective measures that are taken for the incision such as staying out of the sun during recovery and using SPF 15 or greater thereafter. Initially, scars may appear reddened or raised. They will fade and flatten over time. The extent of scarring can be reduced through medical assistance, including: surgical paper tape used at the start of recovery, steri-strips or silicone sheeting at the second phase of recovery, and perhaps, topical gels that can be continued for up to a year post surgery. It may be worthwhile to take Vitamin E orally, but it should not be applied to the incision. It is important to note that the use of Vitamin E and other scar reduction products should be reviewed with Dr. Blau prior to the procedure. Vitamin and supplements may affect blood clotting which may result in a complication and longer recovery time period.
Â
Bed Rest Support: Bed rest that is required following breast augmentation can be made more comfortable through leg wedges and special head pillows. Elevation of the legs following breast augmentation is often required to improve blood flow and circulation while at bed rest. Leg wedges are pillows that are in the shape of an appropriately degreed incline to provide the right lift for the legs. Special pillows that are king size can be propped up to offer greater comfort and helps to improve the outcome of the procedure.
Â
Breast Cold Compress: Cold compresses offeredtoday helps to improve swelling and enhances the recovery period. Â Â Â
Â
Breast augmentation recovery usually takes up two weeks time. During this time period, patients are advised to refrain from activities that would put undue pressure on the breasts and exercise may not be performed for a month of more following the procedure. In addition, Dr. Blau will have specific instructions for breast augmentation patients that are related to the individualized approach of the procedure.

One of the things that are first noticed by someone about another person are their eyes. The eyes are inconveniently one of the first things on a person to show aging. As time passes, the skin that is around the eyes begin to sag. This will make the eyelids appear puffy or droopy. There will also be excess fat that is capable of causing shadows and “bags” under the eyes. These many changes are capable of making a person appear sad or tired.
Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty is a common facial cosmetic surgery procedure that is available for both women and men. This procedure is capable of restoring a more youthful, bright, and less tired appearance. It is even capable of correcting obstructed vision. It does this by removing excess fat, skin, and muscle from your upper and lower eyelids. Though blepharoplasty can achieve these effective results by itself, it is often performed at the same time as a facelift or other various plastic surgery procedures.
Deciding on an operation is a very important step in the cosmetic eyelid surgery process. A plastic surgeon will look at the patient’s eyes to be sure that the eyelid lift procedure is right for the patient. It is recommended that you inform your cosmetic surgeon of any eye problems that you may have. This can include “dry eye” as well as many other health problems.
Many people know a lot about eyelid lift surgery, but do not know how it’s performed. The plastic surgeon will create small incisions along the natural folds and creases of the eyelids. Extra muscle, skin, and fat will be removed followed by the skin being repositioned and sutured together. The area that’s around the eyes will be protected with ointment or bandages.
The cosmetic surgeon will make sure that his or her patients are kept comfortable during the procedure. A local anesthesia and sedation may be given to the patient comfortable and pain free.
Immediately following the procedure, vision may be blurry. The patient will likely have some bruising and swelling as the healing process occurs. This is able to last several days and even weeks. You may apply ice to reduce the swelling. The blepharoplasty patient is capable of wearing makeup and contacts within a week.
People can expect a more youthful look following the procedure. When the skin under the eyes is smoother and the skin on the upper eyelids is tighter, the eyes will appear much more rested. This will provide the fresher, more youthful appearance.
