What is Cerebral Palsy and what causes the disorder?

Cerebral Palsy is a term that denotes to a group of permanent neurological disorders affecting physical posture, body movement, speech and muscle coordination in children. Usually, cerebral palsy is caused due to damage in some specific areas of brain during the infancy or childbirth.

A child affected with cerebral palsy will have difficulties in leading a normal as he/she does not have full control of his/her motor function depending on the amount of damage in the specific area of the brain. Permanent brain injuries happening to an infant during the pregnancy or at the time of birth affect the child severely causing huge loss of many abilities required to correct body functioning essential to perform according to the human activities.

It is characterized by a combination of the above forms of cerebral palsies. However, the most common mixed form can be a combination of spastic and athetoid characteristics.

  • Genetic disorders

  • Infections during pregnancy or childbirth

  • Rh Incompatibility

  • Low birth weight and premature birth

  • Jaundice, Encephalitis, Epilepsy, or Accidents

3 Reasons to Include a Seeder Crop with Your Medical Marijuana Garden

From seed to harvest may take half a year for some outdoor farmers, and that’s quite a relationship time wise. Many growers refer to their plants as “my babies.” This is not surprising, considering plants are alive, and go through a life cycle similar to humans.

A big similarity is the reproduction phase, and because of this, there are 3 reasons why you should include a seeder crop.

First of all, you may have had difficulty obtaining viable seeds to initiate your growing experience. Why deal with an absence of seeds each season? Your Medical Marijuana garden is capable of providing you with an over abundance of seeds for future growth.

Many individuals think they need to order a pack of 10 seeds for an exorbitant amount of dough, risking a season and expense on that little pack. What if you had mason jars full of your own seeds? I don’t know about you, but I prefer the packed mason jars of seeds.

Secondly, if you’ve done research or talked to a lot of recreational smokers, you probably heard of the term, “sinsemilla.” This is a Spanish word meaning, seedless. Just like the seedless grapes, and my favorite- seedless watermelons, seedless buds of Medicinal pot are the most sought after form of Marijuana. Sinsemilla, or “ses” is the growing of female only plants. If a male plant pops up in the garden, he is cut down before he can pollinate the females. Ses, is a double edged sword. Yes, you will have larger seedless buds on one hand, but on the other hand, no more seeds. Additionally, many growers who have painstakingly removed seeds from fertilized females, noticed something. The smoked shake (what’s left after the seeds are taken) is an amazing high. Apparently when the female plant endures the complete pollination experience, she produces something special, psycho-actively, in her fertilized state. Other growers may swear by the Sinsemilla trip, you’ll have to decide. In any event, you get seeds, and a fantastic cerebral experience.

Third reason to include a seeder crop with your Medical Marijuana garden is – drum roll please – you will now have seeds that are indigenous to your backyard or grow area! If you’ve ever seen huge Sunflower plants, as they are dying, hanging their heads down –

They are getting ready to drop goo-gobs of seeds around that yard. Not only will there be copious amounts of seeds, but they will be genetically pre-disposed to the soil, weather, and cultivation conditions of that environment. Those Suns will be growing like crazy. This is what you want for your “babies”, I mean your Medical Marijuana. Let your plants mature, get used to seeing the sex differences, and develop your own strain of Medical Marijuana. Your F1 seeds, or next generation seeds, will be unique to your patch of earth.

Finally, after your female plants are fertilized, wait until the seeds are splitting their sheath or protective pouches, then harvest. After 4-6 weeks of dry/cure, when the plants and seeds retain no moisture, you may then get the mason jars out. Caution: if you store your seeds with ANY moisture, you’ll develop mildew and fungus, obviously detrimental to your seeds. As a precaution, periodically lay your seeds out and let them get air, ensuring that they are dry. When you re-store them, keep the seeds in a cool, dark area.

Give your seeds a name like, “purple rain”, “Cali9”, or “Reggie’s Rogue” –after all, new strains need names. Grow American.

The mood-improving benefits of chocolate antioxidants have long been known, but now this treat has revealed another healthy secret–is can also help prevent cancer and heart disease. Dark chocolate, eaten without milk, has been shown to contain more antioxidants than either red wine or green tea. To understand the importance of this discovery, one should understand why antioxidants are of such importance to the human system.

As the human body uses oxygen, highly reactive byproducts, known as free radicals, are formed. Chocolate antioxidants can aid in fighting these. In essence, a free radical is an atom or molecule that, during the chemical processes a body uses to function, loses an electron. The manner in which these rogue agents operate is, on the surface, simple: an atom missing an electron is unstable and will attempt to regain stability by either shedding or gaining an electron. When the free radical successfully steals or gives an electron to another molecule, it becomes stable once again. The molecule that donated or received the electron, however, is now unstable, and becomes a free radical itself. This creates a chain reaction that, left unchecked, can eventually upset the balance of whole cells, leading to severe disruption in the affected system and manifesting as any number of diseases and cancers.

While free radicals do present a clear problem to the human system, the body can use chocolate antioxidants to defend itself from the damage they cause. Found in food products and used by the body to arrest the damage caused by free radicals, antioxidants are molecules that seek out and stabilize free radicals by donating electrons to unstable molecules, ending the destructive chain reactions. Once an antioxidant has ended a reaction, though, it becomes unstable and begins to hunt stable molecules itself. High blood pressure, or hypertension, is a serious health concern; it has been directly linked to such problems as congestive heart failure, kidney failure, and cerebral damage as well as heart attack and stroke. By stimulating nitric oxide production in the vascular system, the flavonoids in chocolate cause the body to trigger a reaction that both dilates and relaxes blood vessels, increasing blood flow. This causes a drop in blood pressure, reducing the risk for cardiovascular distress.

Milk, though, causes chocolate antioxidants lose nearly all of its antioxidant benefits; the polyphenols in the chocolate bond to protein in the milk, effectively neutralizing the antioxidant boost gained by having a cocoa based snack. This applies both to milk chocolate and drinking milk with dark chocolate. For a body to completely process the antioxidants in chocolate, milk cannot be present during the digestive process; a person eating coco for its health benefits should avoid both milk and milk coco for at least an hour before and after ingesting the cocoa to maximize its effects.

While chocolate can be used as a healthy diet supplement, moderation is key. Coco has a high calorie content, which can lead to weight gain if the body does not burn extra energy to maintain its caloric balance. Given that antioxidant rich chocolate can aid the body in ridding itself of free radicals, reducing blood pressure, maintaining cardiovascular health, and reducing the risks for heart disease and cancers, a small portion every day to replenish the body’s antioxidant stores is a simple but powerful way of providing the body with the tools it needs to protect itself from the damage free radicals cause.
